America - A Global Force for Good?
UNIT 4 PROJECT
|
Over the last two hundred years, America has played an increasingly important role in world affairs. In its interactions with other nations, America has been both peaceful and violent. America has been both altruistic and selfish. America has been both “good” and “bad.”
Many Americans believe that the United States is the greatest country on Earth. They believe Americans are the “good guys.” Others think the exact opposite, and claim that America has been a selfish and destructive force for much of its history. A country, however, is not inherently good or bad by pure nature. A country’s morality is defined by the actions of its people, and America has had its fair share of both heroes and villains. Your task in this project is to explore both sides of America’s actions in foreign affairs – the good and the bad. |
